Tahani Helmy is a journalist, lecturer, trainer, and human rights defender striving for social change and raising awareness projects on human rights via media and social action endeavors. Throughout her 27 years of experience, she managed to correlate contemporary social issues with the rights of minorities, refugees, and gender equality.
Tahani is a speaker/panelist at various local and international conferences and interfaith dialogue events. Furthermore, she hosts ongoing round table discussions with eminent media figures on a vast array of topics related to developing a unified vision on youth empowerment, religious coexistence, and social justice. She is being interviewed regularly in local, international TV news and networks. She is also a columnist at local and regional Arabic newspapers writing on social issues of our time.
As a journalist and media consultant with over 16 years of learning while living in various countries, her multicultural worldview broadened, and her world-embracing vision solidified. She is currently managing an enterprise on youth empowerment programs to build local capacity and developing media training curriculums on human rights.
